Please read carefully before using the GONEO smart cable.
If you encounter any problems in use, please contact your reseller to answer your questions. Due to the need for continuous improvements of products, this information is subject to change based on product updates, Goneo & Eloy&Becker reserves the right to update the product.
WARNING
Before using the D2E-A10B-A, referred to as the GONEO smart cable in this document, please read and follow all warnings and instructions carefully. Failure to do so may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.
Do not attempt do disassemble or repair this product yourself. This product is not a user- serviceable device.
To make any repair, please contact your reseller. Any attempt to self-repair will void the warranty.
This product is subjected to high current during operation; do not touch the end of this charging plug with fingers or sharp metal objects [such as wires, tools, or needles].
DANGER
Always use a correctly installed and certified domestic power outlet, as an not properly grounded GONEO smart cable may result in the risk of electric shock or fire. The GONEO smart cable must be connected to certified domestic power outlet with a grounded metal permanent wiring system.
CAUTION
Do not install or use near flammable, explosive or combustible materials, chemicals or vapors. When using this product in an environment where children are present, it is important to provide supervision. It’s important to use the cables fully unrolled when charging to avoid the risk of overheating.
INSTRUCTIONS
The GONEO smart cable must only be used for charging an electric vehicle.
To determine whether the vehicle is equipped with a charging inlet, please refer to the vehicle manual.
Do not remove any label from the device.
Use the GONEO smart cable only on a fixed power outlet.
The GONEO smart cable should be inspected periodically to check for damages to the cabling and the control box.
Do not use the GONEO smart cable if the product is defective or appears damaged. In such case, please contact your reseller.
When not in use, store the GONEO smart cable in a safe and dry place, preferably in the supplied travel bag.
Always handle the GONEO smart cable via the plugs.
Do not attempt to connect not-matching vehicle connectors and charging inlets.
Avoid too much traction on the cables.
Do not step on, fold, or knot the cables. Never use the cables as a rope.
Do not use the GONEO smart cable with unrolled cables.
Do not drop the GONEO smart cable or place a heavy object on it.
Do not slide the GONEO smart cable over sharp edges or rough surfaces.
Do not run over the GONEO smart cable's plugs, its control box or the electric cables.
Do not place the GONEO smart cable cable near high-temperature objects, dirt, or water.
Do not place the GONEO smart cable in an enclosure during a charging session, due to a risk of overheating.
Do not operate the GONEO smart cable outside the permissible ambient temperature range from -25 °C and +50 °C. Lower or higher temperatures can damage the device.
Do not use the fast-charging speed of the GONEO smart cable on unfamiliar power outlets.
Components of the GONEO smart cable can cause sparks and ignite flammable or explosive vapors.
Only use the GONEO smart cable for vehicles that do not require ventilation during charging.
Do not use a private generator as a charging power source.
After the charging is completed, stop charging on the vehicle-end, complete unlocking, remove the plug, and put the GONEO smart cable back in the storage bag. [see p8.]
Do not unplug the GONEO smart cable while charging. Always disconnect from the vehicle first.
Incorrectly installed power outlets can lead to electric shock or fire when charging the vehicle.
Operate the GONEO smart cable in properly grounded networks only.
The grid power outlet used for charging must always be connected to a protected circuit that complies with local laws and standards.
The power outlet must be protected by a in working order residual current-operated circuit-breaker.
Do not use the GONEO smart cable if it is damaged or soiled. Check the cable and the connector before use.
Do not use a power outlet that is damaged. The power plug must be firmly seated in a power outlet installed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
The operation of the GONEO smart cable connected to a damaged power outlet can result in serious injury or fire.
The GONEO smart cable is maintenance free. Do not open the device. The GONEO smart cable does not contain user-serviceable parts. Leave any servicing tasks to qualified personnel only. Contact your reseller for advice.
Do not apply any overvoltage to the GONEO smart cable. For the power outlet voltages suitable for the device, please refer to the specifications provided.
Do not use extension cords, cable drums, multiple power outlets, travel adapters, timers, etc.
Do not touch the contacts on the vehicle charging inlet and on the GONEO smart cable.
Do not insert any objects in the vehicle charging inlet or in the GONEO smart cable.
Keep power outlets, plug connection and the GONEO smart cable free of moisture, water, snow, ice and other liquids. The GONEO smart cable is weatherproof. It can withstand heavy rain, however, do not submerge any part in the water. Avoid resting the GONEO smart cable in a puddle during inclement weather. Never immerse the GONEO smart cable in water.
Disconnect the GONEO smart cable from its power supply during a thunderstorm.
Clean the GONEO smart cable only if the control unit is completely disconnected from the power grid and from the vehicle.
The GONEO smart cable should not be operated by persons under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medications.
Do not open the SIM slot, unless authorized by your service provider.
The charging speed should be selected in accordance with the country's regulations.
Below is an example of some countries with specific regulations for Mode 2 charging:
In France, according to the Decree n°2021-546 of 4th May 2021, the charging current is limited to 8 A by the EV supply equipment or to the declared rating when using dedicated plugs and socket-outlets for EV charging according to NF C61-314.
In the UK and in IE a control device for monitoring the plug temperature is not required. In the UK and in IE the maximum charging current shall be 13 A. Plugs shall comply with BS 1363-1, classified as suitable for EV charging and marked BS 1363-1/EV.
In Austria, an IC-CPD equipped with a household plug according to OVE E 8684-1 with a rated current of 16 A can carry a permanent load of 10 A maximum.
In Germany, if the IC-CPD is equipped with a household plug according to DIN VDE 0620-2-1:2021, the permanent charging current shall be limited to ≤ 10 A
In Denmark, for IC-CPDs supplied with a plug for household and similar use, repeated continuous loads of long duration, shall be limited to 6 A. The requirements in this document cannot replace or change any part of the Danish National requirements for plugs for household and similar use according to DS 60884-2-D1.
